Coconut oil is beneficial for dogs, as well as cats. It aids in digestion, improves coats, and help prevent infection. Coconut oil raises the metabolism, provides energy, and boosts the immune system. Peanut butter is a favorite for pups. It is a good source of protein; which contains heart healthy fats, vitamin B, niacin, and vitamin E. Blueberries are low in fat and calories, but high in fiber. This makes them a great treat for dogs and cats. They're a good, natural source of vitamins, as well as minerals like iron, potassium, and manganese.

PB & B Coconut Oil Treat

5 minute prep and 15 minute freeze / Total time 20 minutes

Ingredients:

½ cup Coconut oil (the solid kind)
1 tablespoon Peanut butter
If you are making these for a cat it is okay to skip the peanut butter, a cat should not consume too much peanut butter.
Blueberries

Tools:

Silicone mold
2 Spoon
Glass measuring cup
Container to store treats after

Directions:

Measure out coconut oil into a glass measuring cup.

Melt oil in microwave for about 30 seconds.

Stir oil till it is all melted and blended (no solids bits of oil floating in it).
Place mold on a freezable tray, like a sheet pan or cookie sheet.
Pour oil in the molds till they are half filled.
